So we will provide a different service with this site. Something else for your mind. We only recently came across the ASCII zine phenomenon - it's wicked. Here's our homage. Were really emotional time and every hour changed everything Was difficult respected the agenda because the situation changed every minute and every minute was need tried the sense and the goal of our presence in Israel land. I stayed in Italian disobedience delegation and after the second meeting there decided change our name in delegation "against the global war", not for peace. This choice was because Sharon talked in one press conference about the global war against the international terrorism when he explained the reason of occupation of Palestinian territory We started to organise demos at the check-point for enter in Ramallah and, in the same time, our presence gave the security of freedom circulation for the Palestinian people The check-point are a repression strategy against the Palestinian people: some time the people can wait hours and hours without any motivation, also in case of emergency like as the ambulance. We stayed also at the demo in Jerusalem under the Sharon' house for ask the end of occupation with Israel pacifist Jerusalem is strange city, full of religion place where every human behaviour is a religion rite and where lives two different people. It sufficient walk just around the corner for has all different situation respect before. The Israel people can have the army in the road and you don' t have the idea of different role between the soldier and the normal citizen (may be for this reason the Palestinian when decided to explode with their body don' t choose military or political objective) When the Ramallah situation become risky and after the new about the ambulance was (are, unfortunately) a military objective, we enter there and support with our presence the use of Hospital under attack by sniper. He decide who can live or if the ambulance can exit out of the hospitalIn this situation the Italian delegation decided to donate the blood at the Ramallah hospital and in the same time the compagneros in the Jerusalem did the same in Palestinian hospital there. After this action, humanity contribute for us, the Israel press start to write about a delegation of European terrorists ready become Kamikaze for the Palestinian cause, while the Arab media call us brothers and sisters for freedom.I was in Jerusalem and immediately the Israel people insult us (pigs, bastards and nazis- fascist: for me was the first time that some one called me fascist, usually is the opposite)When the people stayed in Ramallah the Israel government decided to close the possibility to enter and exit there. From this moment, after very speed brain-storming, we had the idea to call by appeal all institutional members of Italian municipalities and parliament near our movement for build another delegation in Israel for make international pressure. The delegation went but after 7 hours (negotiate) of wait in Telaviv Airport was all expulsion also an Italian senator (Mr Martone-green party) and different parliamentary of R.C. party.Fortunately some parliamentary of D.S. party was enter in Israel to independent way outside the big delegation and so we talked with them and organised a little caravan with Ambassador agreement and the people of Rammalah went in J. and in the second time but the same day exit the delegations of Betlemmme When we met the Palestinian activists we asked, "what we can do" the answer was "You are doing". I saw an Israel society prisoner of its fear and Palestinian people full of desperation STOP WAR STOP OCCUPATION NOW a caress, paolo >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> * tdk questions <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< 1 tdk how when why what does it mean ? 2 best party 3 worst party 4 what is the state of tekno in holland. in some ways it seems healthy to me, but then also a bit dull and with harsh police. 5 why do you like electro ? There was an apocalyptic feeling as people scuttled for cover, the tall buildings seeming to dig in before the storm. Then the heavens opened and the rain tipped down, soaking the unwise, rich and poor alike. From Brooklyn, two officers in a police car watched the downpour over Manhattan. Their view was filmic in the extreme, with the monumental Brooklyn Bridge dominating the foreground and dark clouds hovering around the skyscrapers, occasionally flicking one with a blast of lightning. Greene picked up another donut as he swallowed the previous sugarfest, pausing only to grunt in appreciation for nature's free show before consuming some more calorie, this time a double choco specimen. His companion Murphy, sat in the passenger seat, pushed his cap back and wondered out loud : - D'you think it's coming this way bro ? Inside, he was wondering what had been bothering Greene these last few weeks, but he knew better than to ask. That wasn't how their relationship worked. However, his partner had indeed been rather detached and was brooding about whether he should share his woes with Murphy when the radio crackled into life .... liquor store hold up, one dead, perp on the run, last seen entering the apartment block at the corner of Atlantic and Washington, back up required. Deftly engaging the engine and lobbing his donut out the window, Greene span the car around, heading to the scene, sirens ablaze. They were the third car there, but everyone seemed clueless. With the experience gathered from many years on the force, Murphy collared an old black man who no doubt had been sat shooting the shit on the sidewalk since he got up that morning. Brooklyn born and bred, he was of course reluctant to talk to a uniform, but upon being informed that Pleasure Liquor had been held up - Sheet, Shorty was a good man he drawled out a description. Positive ID. Danny Graham. Greene had come across this guy before. Young, black, aggressive, previous for dope and assault, he hadn't had the luck in where he grew up but that didn't entirely excuse the mess he'd become. Crack can level anyone, regardless of background. They'd probably have to take him down, for with a habit like his, he wouldn't want to go back inside. A shot from somewhere sent the group scattering, a second retort ending with a yelp from Murphy. - He's on the roof ! Greene pulled Murphy to the cover of a van and inspected his arm, to the crackling of more shots. The bullet had entered above the elbow and left just below, it looked nasty but he'd live. - Hang in there man. Murphy gave him a weak smile ; these two had been partners for a long time, they had a real bond, something like brotherhood. Well shit, thought Greene, Murph means more to me than my two brothers put together, and the scumbag who did this is going to pay. A lull in the shooting gave him a chance to sprint across the road and come to a stop pressed against the red brick of the apartment building. Next, inside and up the stairs, telling the frightened tenants to stay exactly where they were, and soon he cautiously emerged onto the roof. He was behind the elevator shaft. Peeking around it, he could see Graham huddled against the edge, hands shaking, trying to rock up with the gun beside him. The wildness was emanating from him - he'd gone too far into psychosis to be helped, but Greene could not shoot first. - Put your hands up Graham's head darted up, and he snatched the rifle back. The pipe smashed to the ground, and he was on his feet screaming, but his aim was wild. Greene had more luck, catching him in the left thigh. - You are under arrest Realising his fate seemed only to enrage Graham or maybe the wound had brought him out of his torpor ; like a wild animal he burst away, unloosing another round which forced Greene back behind the shaft. When the officer swang back round a snarling face was inches away and coming straight at him, so the two heavy bodies clashed. The momentum was with Graham and he ran directly over Greene, heading for the fire escape down the back of the building. Greene was up in a flash and after him, unable to get a clean shot in as the stairs zigzagged down towards a street still full of bystanders. A crash made him pick up the pace, for Graham had slipped in the wet and although he'd recovered he had left the gun, which Greene saw as he went past. His quarry meanwhile dropped twenty feet into the road, then scrambled across it into a cafe the other side. Screaming - Gianni's on Bradforth into his walkie talkie, Greene fell into the night and cold tarmac. In the shop, three customers had had their lunch disturbed and were standing halfway up, faces blank, unsure what to do in this latest situation life had slung their way. There in the corner, with darting eyes, was Graham himself, holding a knife to the throat of a portly Italian with curly black hair. This, it could reasonably be asumed, was Gianni. Poor Gianni. - Don't get no closer - Keep calm Danny - You hear what I said man - Just keep calm Greene streched his arms out in supplication, laying the gun down on the counter. Graham was twitching his head about, trying to make his addled mind work. Slowly, the service door behind him opened, and a tanned face appeared, holding a rolling pin. - Come on Danny, you know you're trapped. Come quietly. Sick as he felt, Greene smiled and pushed his hands out further in entreaty. - Let me get out of here - You know I can't do that - I'll kill him I swear - Billy. This is it. The game's up The policeman's voice was steady, his eyes firmly fixed on Graham's, desperately ignoring the movements behind him. Getting closer. The crackhead went to reply but the words didn't come, only a sharp exhalation as the waiter landed a resounding blow. Greene leapt over a table to hold the perp down, Italians and customers hitting the ground fast in case there were going to be bullets. He got to him almost in time, for Graham had only been dazed ; now both men were unarmed. They squared up to each other amongst the disarray. Eye to eye. - Give ... up ... Danny - I can't do that - It's all you can do - I .. I .... I got AIDS. You better not touch me motherfucker. Strangely this threat only made Greene laugh. He tried to stifle his mirth, but the half second of distraction was all Graham needed to lunge forward and bite hard into the meat of his palm. The cop was off-balanced and easily barged over, so Graham streaked for the door, perhaps sensing escape, although if he was the feeling would have been short-lived. More police had arrived by now, and he was quickly bundled to the ground, arms and feet pulled roughly apart, a cold revolver resting on his neck. Game over. Greene was left inside the cafe on his hands and knees, inspecting his latest wound and convulsing with tears. Gianni bent down to comfort him, only to notice that he wasn't crying but laughing, so hard his body shook. Greene accepted a hand up and went to sit down on the sidewalk, which was now steaming in the fresh afternoon sun. The storm was over. There were sirens in his ears. The debris of the street floated past in the gutter. If only that damn kid had known that three weeks ago, Greene's AIDS test had come back - positive. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> * panik interview <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< 1 panik how when why what does it mean ? the name panik came about after our first propper party on newyears eve 1998 or 99 ask chris we rang up debbie on the united systems number and asked if there was any room at the newyears eve building in bow rd, she said there might be, we went and took the two bass bins and assorted mids and tweeters which had never been out of panik dave's falt before and only just fitted thru the front door. we sneaked in the back door to the party and set up on the top floor thinking nobody else would want that space, we set up and the party was going remarkably well considering, we were well pleased and then djs started to appear and asked if we minded them playing, no probs! then one asked if we minded if he set up his rig with ours, we said we'd rather go it alone as it was our first party, he told us no problem he'd just set up his 14k turbo sound at the other end of the room so we agreed and partied on. much acid was done and on newyears day the old bill showed up and the other rigs agreed to shut off, that left us and "virus!" on the top floor and they said they were stayin till tuesday and the police could fuck off. As the police were blocking off the bow rd by now we were trippin uncontrollably and panicking like fuck. in the end we realised that virus weren't going to eat us and it was all good and we learnt alot about what goes on at london squat parties very quickly. we thought about changing the name cos its made us out to be abit rubbish, but it fits so well you should hear the phone conversations leading up to a party and then watch us set up....pan!k (read the panik history on www.panik.tv - thats how its begun) 2 best party thats a tricky one we've had some brilliant times with the rig, setting up on a beach and partying for 5 days around the eclipse was fantastic even though we only ever had a crowd of around 10 people we were the only party on the national line that was accessible cos the landowner said we could stay after the plod tried to section us, ha ha. the rig gets better and better as all the money we ever make from doors in london and bars we put right back in to building the system, speakers, lights, generators, we have also been very lucky in meeting some very sound people who have helped us loads. 3 worst party highs and lows, lows are when you set up the rig as best you can and the music is good but noone comes in the room and there isn't enough crew out that weekend to make it a laugh, i'm happy if we've set up and theres a couple of people dancing happily all nite. the worst moments are when you lose the rig this has happened a few times now and it is very distressing as you never know if this time the police have got you. some of the best parties we've had have ended up bad cos we destroyed bits of equipment like the whole rig, its what they call character building i guess. 4 what is the state of tekno in england ?in some ways it seems healthy to me, but then also a bit dull and with harsh police. the good thing about this country is we are able to argueand barter with the police, if the odds are in our favour the party goes on and the police stand down, in other countries they are not as lucky, also i think since the cja the diy culture in britain has really taken off and more and more soundsystems are being built and partied which has to be a good thing despite what allot of people say. as for the music it can be a bit dull at some parties in london the same old acid dull tekno which allways wins the crowd, panik has always had amore varied music policy cos the djs we have are mates first before music, we mix hard nrg of jimma which always gets a crowd(accessible music) and then we suprise em with some hardcore or gabba and this seems to work and the crowd seems diverse because of it. we also have a couple of geezas always in the studio and hardly ever playing it out but soon thy will be ready and its not like anything else played at uk freeparties, it kicks ass and its different. we also have a fairly open deck policy in that if someone has records and wants ago and they can be arsed to wait for a slot then they can play, if they are shit then they probly won't last that long. 5 why do you like acid trance ? (heh heh) i don't dj so i'm not the best person to ask that question, i like all music that makes me dance, we have sometimes had problems when we link up with other rigs because we have one dj who plays what he calls nu nrg/hardnrg and its "not hard enuff" or "you can hear it in a club", so wot its one set you don't like then fuk off and listen to another rig, diversity is the key, i reckon and musical fascism can sod off. i love the (long word time) juxtaposition of the hard as nails tekno and fluffier trance as long as theres not to much of the fluffy stuff i'm happy and the snobs can go and snob somewhere else. its good to surprise people and see people dancing to music they wouldn't normally dance to, at some big london do's its like watchin a heard of zombies all doing the same dance to the same music every week, boring change the record. 6 can the spirit of a free party be enclosed in a club ? no, because you are not free to do as you please, havin said that we've squatted quite a few clubs and they've been wicked. i don't see a problem in rigs doing club nights to raise funds and some have taken that route cos they are fed up with the london crak dregs at parties, thats fair enuff cos most of those have been at it longer than us and sometimes it is hard when a party is fucked on by cracked up muggers and opportunists who have no right to be there. we have been doing parties with a good bunch of crews in london who are trying get rid of the scum elements, its hard and it doesn't always work. its sad but my advice is to be more aware at london parties and stick with the rigs and stay in the parties instead of wandering k'd up into the dark corners where trouble can lurk. 7 were spiral tribe as cool as everyone thinks ? i was introduced to their parties when i was about 15 and they showed me that you didn't have to pay 15/25 quid and be fenced in a field and harassed by bouncers, you ring a number get on a train or blag a lift and get to an amazing warehouse and party till you were finished or until the djs had completely screwed with ya head so you had to get out. they and their peers, bedlam, circuswarped and lunatic and then jibber, chiba city, virus and fear teachers and loads more, all that lot changed my life, whether for the better or not i dunno 8 what;'s yr view on the dutch scene ? we have taken the rig to holland and we wre made very welcome by a very freindly and upfor it bunch of people in fact everytime we've been to europe we have been nicely looked after by the natives, we went without the rig to a monanom(excuse my spellin) party on the millennium and we were the only brits there and i've never felt so welcome at a party before, even though the dutch all took the piss out of us royally but who doesn't, he he. i just hope they can sort out the underground scene after the harsh measures the police seem to have taken last summer, i'm sure they will, there is always a way, just ask the french crews who just got away with a 30000 people teknival. 9 will u be at czechtek ? dunno, we have alot of big plans for the uk this summer and we hope to get somewhere in europe as well. 10 what is the future of panik ? we have missed 4 weekends so far this year and dave was going spare those saturdays, if he is not out then he is a nightmare so we are generally out makin parties, as long as dave is able there will be panik or something similar, you can't beat the sound system...... >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> * subscribe / contact <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< s u b s c r i b e payment aaaargh money issues - trade is better 1 euro / 1 pound / 2 dollars / 25Kc subscribe send x euros get x issues get free shit too (stickers, CDs) contact na kobylce 102 vsenory 252 31 czech republic mujinga@volny.cz >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> * outro <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Er - that's it.
